Have you been through a dysfunctional family life? Is it still affecting you emotionally, mentally, or spiritually? Do you use substances or compulsive habits to help yourself feel better?
This workshop helps you understand how trauma affects you physically, and teaches you how to embrace healthier solutions for clearing your emotions and embracing a healthy future.
Workshop Topics:
- Exploring the links between emotions, mind, and body
- Understanding how our experiences impact our quality of life
- Developing healthy coping mechanisms
- Learning about your body and brain and how they respond to trauma
What is the program like?
We’ll work with you in a group setting over 4-6 weeks to gain a better understanding of how trauma affects our brains, and what we can do about it. Other participants come from all areas of the general public: Mothers, fathers, grandparents, couples, and people who have experienced loss. Most people are in recovery from some sort of trauma or addiction, and everyone is looking for solutions and healing. The workshop is based off the book Emotional Sobriety by Tian Dayton.
