I Dare You To Walk In My Shoes

Lori Eve Tatarsky is an author, speaker, podcaster, and mental health advocate. Lori is a native New Yorker who has 15 years of experience in advertising and freelance writing. She also worked as an account executive for several prominent companies. In 2022, she published “I Dare You To Walk in My Shoes” because she wanted to share her journey and struggles with mental health to bring hope, change, and positivity to others. In 2025, the book was republished by Frontline Book Publishing. In recent years, she also became a companion to people with intellectual disabilities and the elderly. She is all about living and giving.

Lori came up with the vision of the Universe of Self Awareness, a series of interactive group workshops introducing innovative therapies for mental health, addiction, and trauma. The Universe of Self Awareness is a safe haven without walls, where behind every cloud there is sunshine. Lori’s mission is to share her unique perspective and experiences to help individuals share their voices and feel heard. Lori is bringing the vision of the Universe of Self Awareness to fruition. Lori is actively working on getting funding through grants and donations to better serve those in need.

In 2024, Lori partnered with Mental Health America of Dutchess County to bring this vision to life. Together, they are seeking funding through grants and donations to better serve those in need. Lori is currently a provisional CRPA (Certified Recovery Peer Advocate) and is presently seeking her Life Coaching and Human Flourishing Certificate from Light University.
