Event Details


P.E.A.C.E (Parent Education and Custody
Effectiveness) is a child-centered educational
program for separating and divorcing parents.
• Examines children’s and parent’s responses
to divorce and separation
• Gives parents information about the
emotional and psychological challenges that
they and their children may experience as a
result of the restructuring and the
reorganization of the family
• Helps the separated or divorcing parents, or
step-parents, protect the well-being of their
children during the separation process
BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM: Participation
in the program helps the separating or divorcing
parents to effectively support and parent their
children together safely despite their personal
conflicts with each other.
Parents will:
• Learn new skills and approaches to safely
manage and diffuse conflict
• Gather helpful information about the legal
system which can assist them in developing a
safe and reasonable plan for the
restructuring of the family

The P.E.A.C.E. curriculum covers three
major topic areas:

• The Legal Process
• The Adult’s Experience of Divorce and
Separation
