Job Description:
The Peer Specialist at our Personalized Recovery-Oriented Services (PROS) program plays a vital role in providing peer support, mentorship, and advocacy to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. The Peer Specialist leverages their lived experience with mental health challenges to inspire hope, foster resilience, and promote a culture of recovery within the program.
Qualifications:
- Active New York Peer Specialist Certification
- Minimum education requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience in planning and facilitating a psychoeducational group.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills, high energy person, and dependable. Must be person centered in the delivery of services.
- Competency in computers and the ability to navigate Electronic Health Record systems.
