Do you have a history of depression or bipolar disorder? Are you interested in resources & support from people who know what you’re going through?
The Depression & Bipolar Support Group is a weekly walk-in session where you can listen and ask questions around living a healthy full life, including developing coping skills, building self-esteem, and finding helpful resources.
- Peers sharing stories and experiences
- Peers asking questions and sharing answers
- Annual toolbox-building to exchange resources
What is the program like?
The group is open to all adults, whether you’re in your 20s or your 70s. The group size can vary based on season and weather, but is usually between 10-20 people. There’s no pressure to share or talk—many people just come to listen and learn.
Often we go through articles from the newspaper or the internet that are relevant, and discuss real-life situations and how to address them. Once a year we work together to create toolboxes made up of resources and coping mechanisms for everyone to bring home.
You’re welcome to bring a family member as support!
