Program Assistant Per Diem
Shifts may be for Bolger, Florence Manor, or Dowling .
The Program Assistant (Per Diem Float) provides as-needed operational and resident support coverage across all Addiction Services residential program locations. This position does not have a regular or guaranteed schedule and requires flexibility to work varying shifts and locations based on program needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to help maintain a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented environment.
Duties:
- Assist staff with the day-to-day operations of the residential program.
- Document notable observations, incidents, and significant interactions in accordance with program expectations.
- Conduct routine rounds, security checks, and routine or random searches of residents, personal property and program facilities in accordance with program procedures.
- Administer breathalyzer and drug screening tests, as assigned.
- Oversee resident self-administration of medication in accordance with agency policy and training.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Maintain professionalism, appropriate boundaries, and respectful communication in all interactions.
- Transport residents using company vehicles as needed.
- Complete all required training and competency requirements within assigned timeframes.
- Maintain flexibility to work varying shifts and provide coverage at all Addiction Services residential program locations as assigned.
- Work a minimum of one shift per month to maintain active employment status.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director, House Manager, or designee.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Computer literacy is a must. Candidates must be able to navigate electronic health systems, and Microsoft office applications such as Microsoft Teams. Specific training provided upon hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working in residential, behavioral health, human services, direct care, or similar settings preferred but not required (includes experience as a CAN, HHA, PCA, Residential Counselor, Milieu Counselor or related role)
- CPR certification is required. Training can be provided by the agency and must be successfully completed within six (6) months of hire.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, appropriate boundaries, and respectful communication in all interactions.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing program needs, and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
