Mobile Crisis Intervention Team (MCIT)

MHA’s Mobile Crisis Intervention Team serves all of Dutchess County and is located in the City of Poughkeepsie, NY. MCIT is a crisis response service with a goal to maintain children and adults safely in the community.

Open 24/7/365, year-round

MHA’s MCIT is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The team’s goal is to reduce unnecessary emergency room visits and inpatient hospitalizations, divert from jail, and reduce risk of future crisis. MCIT additionally engages in community outreach in support of identifying individuals at high risk for crisis. MCIT services are designed to interrupt or ameliorate acute Behavioral Health crisis and associated behaviors in the moment.
