Look for MHADC at health fairs throughout the county and invite us to yours. We help the public learn about mental wellness and our services. In some cases, we also offer quick screening for depression or other conditions.
Workplace Information and Training
MHADC staff members have
consulted with and provided workshops for law enforcement officials, librarians, and educators, as well as other health care professionals. Let us know if we can help you, your staff, your business, or your organization learn more about mental health.
MHADC’s library is open to the public. Community members can use a computer, read journals, borrow books, and browse the reference collection Monday-Friday, 9-5, at 253 Mansion Street, Poughkeepsie. Visit our Contact page for directions. The Library also maintains a collection of more than 250 videos and DVDs. You may view much of our collection online.
MHADC maintains a list of private mental health practitioners–psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers–in Dutchess County. We also keep lists of support groups and service agencies. Contact Janet Caruso, director, Community Education at 845-473-2500, ext. 1325. (Request form coming soon.)
MHADC staff are available to introduce members of your service club, religious congregation, or community group to mental wellness, our services, and ways to get involved.
