Are you struggling with mental illness but still wishing you could get out more? Want to spend time with people who understand what you’re going through?

Compeer matches adults with community volunteers to go for weekly outings and activities together. You get a supportive friend and mentor, who’s there to check in with you as much or as little as you need to relax and have fun.

Services:

  • Peer matching
  • One-on-one social activities
  • Group social activities

What is the program like?

Formerly Community Friends, Compeer is a very safe one-on-one environment to make friends and do fun stuff in the community. You get matched with a volunteer, and often these relationships become lifelong friendships. Mainly you interact with your peer, but you also get chances to socialize with other participants and their mentors via regular group social activities, such as Bingo, Karaoke, or just plain dinner out.
