Family Support & Advocacy Services: RESPITE
Respite Program Specialist, part time, 17.5 hrs/wk

Duties: The Program Specialist will provide quality individual and/or group respite and skill building for children with social, emotional and behavioral disabilities.   The Program Specialist may also take responsibility for general program assistance.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalency required, Associate’s Degree preferred.  Knowledge of recreational activities and child development required.  Experience working with families with children with social, emotional and behavioral disabilities preferred.  Self-starting, motivated individual able to work flexible hours. Clean driving record and 3 years’ experience driving.

 

Adult Services: Care Management
Supportive Case Manager, full time.

Duties: Applicants must have the capacity to work closely within a team setting with clients, to assist in problem solving and daily living activities, assess service needs, liaison with the community agencies and coordinate treatment and provide advocacy.  Strong written and verbal communications skills a must.  Must have a valid driver’s license.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma and 2 years experience in Human Services field with experience in a setting with clients who suffer from mental illness.

 

Adult Services: Stabilization Center [ 2 positions open]
Generic Case Manager, full time.

Duties: MHA is currently hiring for two Generic Care Managers working out of the newly opened Stabilization Center based at 230 North Road.  The position will work with people in crisis who need to be linked to services in the community.  The position will work with individuals with both mental health and addiction issues.  The position will work with children and families as well.  A person attending this center will only be there for less than 24 hours so assessment and linkage to appointments outside of the stabilization center will need to happen quickly.  Pace of work will be similar to emergency room or urgent care center.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor Degree or higher preferred.  Three years’ experience working within the mental health or addiction environment in Dutchess County preferred. Person must have demonstrated that they work well under pressure and can work as a team player.

 

Adult Services: Care Management
Generic Case Manager, full time.

Duties: Candidate must have the capacity to work closely within a team setting with clients to assist in problem solving and daily living. Assess service needs, liaison with the community agencies and coordinate treatment and provide advocacy.

Minimum Qualifications: Two years working in a direct care setting with clients who suffer from mental illness preferred. Associates Degree or Bachelors degree in Human services preferred. Self starting individual who has a broad knowledge of the services available in Dutchess County. Must have a valid driver’s license.

 

Family Support & Advocacy Services: Teen Challenge
Program Assistant / Driver, part time.

Duties: The Teen Challenge Program Assistant/Driver assists the Teen Challenge Program Specialist in providing life skills in groups, recreation and community service to teens with social, emotional and behavioral disabilities. In addition, the Assistant provides transportation for members to and from the program.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Self starting motivated individual able to work flexible hours. Clean criminal record and valid driver’s license required.
